Another year . . .

We just celebrated our 2nd Anniversary and it seemed as though a lot more time has gone by. Not necessarily a bad thing, just strange maybe. The kids, every last one of them, are ready for Spring Break and I'm so jealous because I wish I got "Spring Break". Bobby has been busy on FaceBook, maybe a little too busy. FaceBook is fun for those who are keeping in touch with family, especially teenage and grown children, but its not always a great place to go and find old friends.

Where Does All the Time Go ? ? ?

Wow 2008 finished out with a bang. We survived, Poppa did just barely. There was a point where we were told by his Doctors, "To say our good-byes". He endured so much this past year, going into full blown rejection. I can't describe to you the spiritual journey that sent so many of us on. To come to the realization that I may have to let my father go, was the most painful moment in my life. To come through that on the other side, brings joy that cannot be measured. Our time here is so short and as I get older, that becomes so REAL. We had an amazing Thanksgiving, sponsoring it at our home this year. The little ones weren't there and that was sad, but in order to get them for Christmas, we had to give up Thanksgiving, which was harder on them, because even when me and Bobby were just dating, we had that Holiday with my family. Its the one Holiday my family comes together. They love the cousin time, just as much as we love "Moms Day Out". Christmas was so exci...

WHERE DID ALL THE "SUMMER" GO ?

So with the start of school, our house has become a ghost town or something like that. It's so quiet now even with Mariah there the peace it often unbroken. It's rather sad for a mom who is used to non-stop noise. This was Leslie and Bethaney's last summer home, they will remain in Stillwater until college is complete now that they have a house instead of living in the dorms. We didn't see them much during the summer either due to they both worked and took summer classes. It's hard when you come to the realization that your children are grown and no longer need their parents the way they used to. I don't cry everyday anymore but it's been a process to get there. I should of been developing adult relationships all these years, in preparation for my ducks swimming to deeper water as one might say, but I didn't. I spent my days, when not at work, totally focused on my children and their little lives, involving myself even when I wasn't welcome. I watche...

From 2 to 20 . . . .

That's how me and Bobby started our life together, with kids from 2 to 20 and everything in between. Getting out the door for ANY event is an EVENT in it self. With 2 large bathrooms and mirrors placed all over, there's never enough room in them. EVERY Sunday morning, ok well at least 2 Sunday mornings a month, I'm fighting for mirror space. For now there's even more women in the mix to have to share the bathroom with. If I could just stake claim on my very own space, in a mirror, in a room, at the table, in the yard. . . Anywhere ! After all even a "Mom" likes a little spot of her own. A place to escape, to read a book, to listen to music, to write, to, just have some peace and quiet. Is there such a place in a world of grown, teenage, pre-teen and six year old women? Is there such a place or is that only in fairy tales? My sweet Father tells me and has told me for years, to enjoy these moments. They come and go so quickly in life and we must learn to live ...

THEN "OUR" LIFE BEGINS. . .

While we were gone on our honeymoon, we purchased a house and didn't even know. We had made an offer on a house that I had fell in love with from first site. Bobby on the other hand couldn't quite envision what I saw it to be, but I...... LOVED it from the start. Our offer was accepted and we came home owning a new home. Move in wouldn't be till after closing on two houses. Selling mine was easy, we had offers and was going to get exactly what we were asking for it. And it was a good thing because the ex wanted half of it. No surprised there, just hurt, because I had kept the place up and going and in good shape and had done it on my own for a long time. Problem was 30 days before closing, our buyers backed out. So we took another offer, 2nd on the list and he dropped the price 10,000.00 dollars, but at this point, we had to make a deal. It all worked out, just like Heavenly Father had promised. Everything was working out in our lives. Not to say that we liked everything th...

There's a LAW . . .

There's a law that was made by some guy, somewhere, that says, you have to come home from your honeymoon and I hate that guy ! ! !

What A WEDDING . . . .

Wow ... when it all came together, it all came together! The dresses, the suits, the flowers, the food, everything was accounted for. And again, it wouldn't of happen without Lisa, Nana and Brandy. These girls should go into business party planning. Let me just put it like this. . . If in life you want something accomplished .......... Call Lisa, Nana and Brandy and "It's Done"! Getting ready on the big day went so well. Big girls did little girls hair and mine and we looked HOT ! ! ! It was a cold and overcast day and the rain held off till after pictures and only rained a little while we were all inside. I'll get some pics posted I promise. The whole day just flowed. Everything was truly perfect. Everyone was taken care of, little Christian was looked after by every pretty girl in the house, Leslie of course being his favorite. We danced and ate cake and danced and LAUGHED a lot! The food was wiped out and there was barely anything left when me and Bobby got aro...
