Wow
Wow.......... How did this family come about ? ? ? It's a love story that is so incredible that it's not believable, but it's soooooo true. My name is Cathy and I have 3 BEAUTIFUL daughters.
Leslie is 20 and the smartest kid in the world..... Ok, ok she's the smartest kid in our family. She's bright and beautiful and is one big tree hugging hippy. She loves the "Earth" almost as much as she loves family. She's studying "Apparel Design" in college.......... Go Pokes ! ! ! She is studying at OSU in Stillwater, Ok. and I'm just so grateful that she choose a college that ORANGE is their pride and their color.... ie.... I love the color orange. If you need to learn how to be the greatest big sister on earth, just call and we'll set you an appointment with the best teacher on the subject....... Leslie A. Gass
Bethaney is 19 and we call her Boo, I'll explain later. She's also attending college at OSU and will be entering her Sophomore year in the fall. She did modeling when she was younger and wants to still, but it's such a scary field for the mother. To say Beth is BEAUTIFUL is an understatement, and if you know Boo, you know what I'm talkin about. Beth is studying Early Childhood Education which is a big change from her first choice which was .......... becoming a Physician. That lasted the first week of college. Beth is the peacemaker in our family and she shares that role with Alissa our 6 year old. She's funny and Wow, she's beautiful and she's beautiful ! ! !
Mariah is 14 and will be 15 in a few weeks. She's soooooooo tall and slim just like her sisters, slim that is. We truly think she's going to be at least 6 feet tall. She a computer genius and she's our very own little "Geek Squad" on staff. She's our in house "Comic" and is constantly preforming. School, home and church are her favorite stages to preform on, Mariah is always ready to preform on a moments notice. I'm not sure where she buys her material....... but no kidding it's funny stuff! She's our only kid that lives at OUR home full-time and she loves it. She has the best of both worlds. She has siblings part-time and full-time attention from 2 dotting parents.
Then along came Bobby Allan Owens aka ..... the LOVE of my Life ! ! ! and he came with 3 wonderful children of his own.....
Kaelin is 12, just turned. She is the oldest of the little ones and mimics Leslie's ways a lot. She's very, very smart and her grades prove it. She lives with her mother and 3 siblings full-time and comes to us every other weekend and holidays. She looks just like her mom and that's what makes her so beautiful. She's pretty bossy, but then most 12 year olds are. She works hard at her mom's house and doesn't have much time for fun, so that has a way of wearing on a little soul. She dreams big and I love that about her, it makes little stars in her eyes. We're going to learn a lot from this kid.
Alissa is a BIG 6 years old. She a little blond angel and makes us laugh. She's her little brother's best friend and is just like Beth in fair-skinned, blue-eyed version. She always has that "Lost" look in her eyes but a smile on her face. She is also a peace maker and is my best right hand man. I know if I need a helper, with anything.... all I have to do is ask Alissa. She always wants to do what Kaelin's doing and gets upset because she just wants to be "bigger" and "older"! She is the only kid in the house that understands Chinese and it's a good thing. You'll understand that later. Alissa looks just like her daddy and I think that's how this kid stole my heart.
Then Lastly............... There's................. Drum Roll Please................... Christian ! He's the only little boy in a all girl world. He is the LIGHT of my life. I never knew what I was missing in life till I met this little man. He's tiny and fair skinned and blue eyed and looks just like a little "Bobby" junior. He thinks I'm so funny and cool. He lets me hover over him, kiss him, love him up, put on his bib, give him baths, helps him catch frogs in the flower bed. He lets me cheer him on while he's scooter riding or jumping on the trampoline and he's teaching me Chinese. He just turned 3 and I've know him since he was 15 months old. I'm just a lot of crazy about having a son.

And that's how this strange combination of the OMG Gang came about, by the way that's short for the Owens, McGillivray, Gass Gang. We have more last names in our family then most telephone directories.
We're a combined family that has a lot of joy, a lot of love and it takes a whole lot of groceries and a whole lot of toilet paper to make it all work, not to mention bunches of patience and prayers! ! !
